Celebrating 25 years of Snowflakes on Steel, Panatics performed alongside Gemini Pan Groove, New Dimension, and Pan Fantasy to honour the event's milestone year. It was surely a night to remember! The band opened the show with 5 musical arrangements, namely, Bam Bam by Camila Cabello ft. Ed Sheeran arranged by Andrew Jackson, as well as, For Once in My Life by Stevie Wonder, Habanera / Theme from Carmen by Georges Bizet, a medley of Rihanna's songs, and De Toco Band by Lord Kitchener arranged by Gareth Burgess. After warming up the audience with an entertaining performance, our very own Musical Director and Band Leader, Andrew Jackson, was presented with a Lifetime Achievement award for his countless contributions to the pan community. Congratulations Andrew! In addition, Panatics was one of four community steelbands who received recognition for our longstanding involvement with the Caribbean community. Congratulations Panatics!
Round of applause to the band's players for a successful evening, and thank you to all who attended and supported the band. Enjoy the slideshow and video of the band's performance! Special thanks to MCHolder Photos for photos and video footage, and Dwayne Henry and Dawn Parris for photos as well. |
Summer 2022Panatics had an action packed summer sharing sweet steelpan music across the GTA! Starting with Splash of Steel at the beginning of June, Panatics then travelled to Oshawa to perform at Club Carib of Oshawa Inc. for the return of Oshawa's Fiesta Week. For Canada Day, the band returned to Oshawa to perform by the lake for the celebrations at Lakeview Park.
The band kickstarted July with preparations for the OSA Pan Alive Showcase during Toronto's Caribbean Carnival season. For the first Pan Alive since 2019, bands learned one calypso arrangement and one 'bomb tune', an arrangement of a non-calypso song in a calypso form. Players rehearsed daily to perfect Gareth Burgess' arrangements of "Rule the World" by Tears for Fears, and "Mash Up" by Blaxx, a tribute to the soca artist's recent passing. Four weeks of hard work paid off at a successful performance on July 29th at Lamport Stadium. |

The Panatics Steelband Network has hit the 30 year milestone on April 16, 2021! Our 30th Anniversary Committee had many plans in place for this milestone year, however, with the status of the pandemic at that time, the committee had to make a lot of adjustments midstream. The video provided was our 'pandemic celebration' to pay homage to the hard work and evolution the band has underwent over the last 30 years. Past and present members and supporters of the band gathered virtually to enjoy this video and we had a night filled with reminiscing over the last 30 years. Thank you all so much for your continued support and we look forward to celebrating with you as soon as we are able! Happy Anniversary to Panatics!

On behalf of the Panatics Steelband Network family, we would like to send our love, prayers, and appreciation to everyone during these hard times. Special thanks to all essential workers risking their lives for their communities! We hope you all continue to stay safe and through togetherness we can overcome anything! In regards to the band, some of our upcoming events have been cancelled or postponed to ensure everyone's safety, including Pan Alive in July. Although we miss these events, we must continue to support our local communities however we can to have even greater, healthier celebrations when these events can return. Stay tuned for more updates as they come, and keep the good vibes and good music flowing through these rough times! Follow our Facebook and Instagram for updates as well. Stay home and stay safe!

On July 21st, 2019, Panatics hosted its first Walk-A-Thon to fundraise money to aide our summer expenses. We had a great turnout of walkers and supports and were able to more than double our fundraising goal of $500! The event was a great success starting with an opening warm up before the 5km walk along the Rouge Hill trail along Lake Ontario. We turned up the trail walking and dancing along the route and everyone had a great time. Thanks to everyone who played a role in organizing and participant in this fundraiser! Stay tuned for more information on any upcoming events!
